Part-Time Barista

BARISTA Job Description:

2tarts is a family owned and operated scratch bakery located in the heart of downtown New Braunfels. We are a progressive work environment that cultivates a creative culture and personal growth.

We are currently looking for a part time & full time Baristas.

Barista Duties will include:

Operating our manual espresso machine
Brewing coffee, teas, and making lemonade from scratch
Selling the shit out of pastries
Educating the customer about the flavors in case
Baking off cookies, plating desserts, and slicing pies, cheesecakes, ect.
Maintaining a clean case and a clean dinning room
Running clean in the front and back of the house
Build lasting customer relationships

Applicant Must Have:

Texas Food Handler card registered in New Braunfels
Professional resume
Previous experience in the food service/coffee industry
A passion for coffee and baked goods
An open mind, and a positive attitude towards change
Excellent work ethic
Weekend availability is a must (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
Must be able to start training asap
Three professional references (preferably from previous employers)

2tarts is a fast-paced work environment, so taking initiative and staying organized while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor is essential. We are open 7 days a week and shifts will includes mornings, evenings and weekends. Prior coffee shop experience is valued, but not required. Food service experience IS required.
