Now that it is November, the Holiday season is almost upon us! We are gearing up for all the fun festivals and November events that take place in downtown New Braunfels during the coming months.


The Wurst Time of Year!

November 4th-12th

What is full of sausage, drinking beer, and doing the polka! Yup, you guessed it, it is Wurstfest!

november eventsYou have not fully experience autumn in New Braunfels until you chicken danced the night away in Wurst Hall. Located just blocks away from the bakery, the Wurstfest grounds are full of food and fun for the family, German style!

Here are a few of our favorite things to do:

  • Eat a Pork chop on a stick. The perfect balance between juicy, salty, and greasy, I promise you will be in love!
  • Dance the chicken dance in Wurst Hall.
  • Drink lots of German Beer.
  • Ride the Ferris Wheel over the lights of New Braunfels.
  • Get your face painted.
  • Polka with your closest 100 new friends.

EVENT: ANNUAL DTA TREE LIGHTING

Friday, November 18th 6pm-9pm

Santa is on his way to downtown New Braunfels on November 18th! The annual DTA Tree lighting is the perfect way for you and your family to get into the holiday spirit.

Your kiddos can get a picture with Santa while you stroll around downtown in the fall air. Do some window shopping at your favorite boutiques and enjoy the scenery. Don’t forget to stop by the bakery for some hot cocoa before you head down to the square to downtown light up into a Christmas wonderland! EVENT: WassailFest

Thursday, December 1st 6pm-9pm

Get your wassail mug ready and head down to downtown New Braunfels for Wassailfest! Wassailfest is when locals stroll from business to business sample free wassail and vote on their favorite! Wassail is a delicious German spiced cider that is served warm and sometimes with alcohol. It is a night of music, fun food, great shopping, thousands of twinkling holiday lights and, of course – lots of free wassail!
