Our vendor spotlight this month is extra sweet! Gretchen Bee Ranch provides us with amazing honey that we use in our baked goods and drinks. We recently started carrying their gorgeous bee’s wax candles too!
Located just outside New Braunfels in Seguin, Gretchen Bee Ranch is owned and operated by Mark and Thien Gretchen. They have a passionate commitment to not only the highest quality of products, but also to bee conservation. Mark has been working with bees since 1982 and his expertise truly shows. Gretchen Bee Ranch have been dedicated to replenishing bees that have disappeared from our area due to colony collapse, mites and other problems.
What started as an Instgram follow, flourished into a great partnership and friendship! Check out their online shop or stop by their physical one in Seguin. On a recent trip to the National Honey Summit we learned about the many beneficial properties of honey in food and health. Not to mention it’s delicious! We are so lucky to have a world class product such Gretchen Bee Ranch honey just down the road. When you taste their Frio County Huajilla honey the flavor notes of lemon and black pepper are intoxicating!
We have been dedicated to expanding our honey menu here at the bakery. With that said, we are rolling out some new items in September! New on the honey line up: Honey Lavender Latte, Honey Rosemary Apple Crostata, and Honey cranberry pistachio granola!
