Wedding FAQs
How are your wedding cakes priced? Our wedding cakes are priced by the serving/slice. Our buttercream cakes are $9 per slice, fondant detailed cakes are $10 per slice, and fondant cakes are $11 per slice. There are also options of combining wedding cakes with groom’s cakes, sheet cakes, or desserts to supplement servings and save on cost. We do require a minimum order of $400 for deliveries, which does include a wedding consultation.
Do you customize wedding cakes? All of our wedding cakes are custom designed. We do have many styles to choose from, but we can always modify them to be exactly what you want.
Do you provide cake stands? We strongly encourage all brides to have a stand for their cake. We rent a variety of stands in silver, gold, wood and glass. All stands must be returned by the client 2 days after the wedding.
Do you deliver the wedding cakes? We deliver within a 40 mile radius of our location, and our delivery fee is $1 per mile (round trip).
How do I set up a consultation and tasting? To get started, fill our our Wedding Form. We will contact you with some available appointment times. Tastings tend to book up about 2-4 weeks in advance. Saturday tasting appointments book up faster.
Do I have to set up an in-person consultation if I am planning my wedding from afar? We’ve done lots of weddings with “long distance” correspondence. You can email us your ideas for inspiration, and we can do a consultation over the phone. Afterwards, we will send you a proposal and a cake sketch, and you can choose flavors when it is convenient for you.
How far in advance I need to book a consultation? We do about 5 or 6 weddings a weekend and those spots book up fast. We recommend that you schedule your tasting at least 6 months before your wedding date (if not sooner). You can always contact via our Wedding Form to see if we are still available for your date.
Do you have photos of cakes you have done? We have done tons of wedding cakes and we have tons of photos! You can view pictures in our Wedding Gallery or on our Pinterest page if you need some inspiration.
What is your deposit process? To book us for you wedding, we require a 50% deposit. The final payment is due 3 weeks before services are rendered. The deposit payments are nonrefundable.
How far in advance are wedding cakes prepared? We typically have multiple weddings every weekend, so we start the process 3 days before your wedding date. For example, for a Saturday wedding, we would bake the cake on Thursday, ice and stack it on Friday and add the final touches Saturday morning.
Is the baker licensed by the state? Yep! We are licensed by the city and state health departments, and we carry liability insurance.
